Ken makes his positions known |

 Ken
Smith drives environmentally-friendly vehicles and believes that with a few changes on public streets, Yucaipa residents can travel inexpensively, and at the same time help the
environment.
YUCAIPA - Due to an emergency involving his 81-year-old mother,
Yucaipa City Council candidate, Ken Smith, had to leave Yucaipa
on the day of the candidates' forum hosted by the Yucaipa Mobilehome Residents
Association.
Smith regrets having to miss the forum and speaking directly
with seniors, but still he wants to make his campaign positions known to not
only seniors, but all Yucaipa residents, he
said.
"Our senior citizens have laid the backbone of everything
we appreciate in our country," said Smith. "The infrastructure built
in our country was built by our seniors. By their sacrifice, our World War II generation gave us our precious freedom. For that I am grateful."

Let me introduce myself... |
I am a 24 year resident of Yucaipa with 18 years of self-employment business experience. Over the past 14 years I have been active in Sacramento fighting harmful legislation through the
Collateral Loan and Secondhand Dealers Association of California of which I served 4 years as
President.
I am active in Yucaipa Kiwanis service group as well as my local church. As a Yucaipa City Commissioner I believe in the importance of community participation. I would like to use my experience in Sacramento to ensure Yucaipa receives back its fair share of taxes paid by Yucaipa residence. Local traffic and infrastructure are ongoing issues that need continual attention. Interstate 10 and the traffic corridors impacts Yucaipa and must be addressed. Other communities continue to change and they impact us. I would like to ask for your support and your vote to make Yucaipa a better place to live.
